St. Paddy's Day/Week Festivities: Joco's on Saturday, Southie Parade and Dropkick Murphys on Sunday, Hennessy's and The Green Dragon Tavern on St. Paddy's Day, The Pogues a few days later

Joco's on Saturday

Steve G and Scotty D getting ready to kick off the St. Paddy's Day Festivities with a Saturday show at Joco's on Moody Street

The Moody Street Pub Crawl blew these two guys in the door. Jesus was a Leprechaun?

Hands off my lucky charms! But they are magically delicious!

The early crowd gets it's green on!

Stevie G is shamrockin'!

It was Regan's birthday, too, and she blew that whistle all night! Woot! Woot!

Tim's birthday, too, and he's gettin' some lovin' tonight!

Richie and Alyssa looking for the green beer!

To top things off, the Police Officers Pipe and Drum Band came in to play their bagpipes and rock the house!

These guys go all out with their get ups!

South Boston St. Paddy's Parade on Sunday afternoon

Pregaming for the St. Paddy's Parade with Bob and Steve at a house party in Southie

Jill looks cute with her Shamrocks overhead

Bob looking regal with that tree behind him. Then there's that red cup.

The people line the streets of South Boston waiting for the parade

The Mounties lead the way, kicking off the parade

You can't have a St. Paddy's Parade without the bag pipes!

It's St. Patrick himself!

These guys stepped out of time and fired their muskets

The Guinness Glass was the best thing in the parade!

Okay, the Bruins Cheerleaders were pretty sweet, too!

Steve G likes the horses best!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's the Cycling Murrays!!!

Even this group is Irish on St. Paddy's Day!

US Soldiers dropping and giving 20. I wonder how many times they did that all day?

The Dropkick Murphys Sunday night!

The Dropkick Murphys at the House of Blues. I started out with a balcony seat

I decided to try and get a closer look! Nice staging this year, guys!

Al Barr was roaring his voice as he always does

Barr gets the crowd pumping!

The Mosh Pit was slammin' right behind me

Ken Casey gets all the girls on stage for a serenade

Ken Casey got right up into the crowd

Casey held his microphone out to the crowd. I think he was looking for me!

Casey backs up as a crowd surfer goes by

I was taking another pic of Casey when this crowd surfing shoe came right in my face!

I look up and my friend JP is on stage singing into the microphone while wearing his kilt! Oy oy oy!

St. Paddy's Day at Hennessy's

Steve G, Kenny Hickey and myself, kicking off our St. Paddy's Day show at Noon at Hennessy's Upstairs

These girls were awesome with their hats and beards!

Nice shamrock face!

Darlene and her friend made it down early!

It didn't take long before everyone was dancing up an Irish storm!

I look like the tallest leprechaun ever!

Of course another Pipe and Drum Band came in and blew their bagpipes!

While we were playing upstairs, Sean Staples was playing mandolin with his band downstairs!

St. Paddy's Day at The Green Dragon Tavern

I used to work with this guy Steve before he moved to San Diego, and here he is back for St. Paddy's Day!

The waitress brings around a round of Guinness for the band!

Neil and his friends get front row seats!

This guy was a character! He said the girl was Judy Garland, ha ha ha, I think he's right!

Jenn sticks out her tongue at me!

Girl, those glasses just aren't big enough! How are you gonna see?

Someone let 'em in, but they couldn't throw 'em out!

Now this gang knows where the party is at!

I played the Wild Rover for many a year!

More beers for the band!

Dave Lieb and Dave Alexander both came down to play bass guitar with Steve, Kenny and me.

12 hours later and we're still singing Irish songs and drinkin' Guinness Stout! What a St. Paddy's Day tradition Stevie and I have going! Hope to see you all next year!

The Pogues

After learning a bunch of their songs this year, I had to go see The Pogues when they came into Boston!

Shane MacGowan and the Pogues have aged a bit, but they were still rocking!

Awesome backdrop behind the band

That accordion player was rocking out all night like a guitarist!

Shane was drinking all night. During the last song he was pouring the wine into his mouth from overhead while Spider was banging his head with a beer tray! Awesome!

Okay, that's all for now!
