Mike O'Neil's Surprise Party

My friend Mike is getting married so his family took him out for some party time! This is Mike and his dad.

Mike gets on the microphone with me!

Mike O Rocks!

Too much fun!

What's more red, Mike's hair or his shirt?

I can't dance, I can't sing...

Doyle's 5 Mile Fun Run

I met up with Rich Hudson and his family to run the Doyle's 5 Mile Fun Run in Jamaica Plain

Richie exits Doyles like the Rock Star he is

Walking to the starting line in Franklin Park. Good to be running through a park instead of city streets for a change!

Richie and his dad limber up!

Scott stretches out the hamstrings!

That's me sprinting to the finish line!

Richie's dad and two of his brothers all ran the race. They are all running the Boston Marathon together, too, along with one more brother. BTW, I beat 'em all, ha ha ha!

Ran into Danielle, Regan and their friends after the race. They ran it, too!

Goofing around with the girls.

Back inside Doyle's, the Fenian Sons were playing some great Irish songs!

Check out the Fenian Sons authentic Irish style!

Me with Michael Flaherty, who just might be the next Mayor of Boston!

Ran into Andy after the race, and he's running the Boston Marathon, too!

Dave Lieb at Tanner Tavern

Dave Lieb rocks out at the Tanner Tavern!

Charene's looking cute in her pretty new red dress!

You can always count on Mel, can't you? She's the greatest.

Salt Mountain

Could this be Mount McKinley?

No, it's a mountain of salt in Chelsea!

Dave and Pete's Houseparty!

Dave and Pete were the house band for their own party!

Different singers took turns on the microphone

Even a horn section showed up!

This guy was really getting into it.

These guys are in the Chicken Slacks

Mick Jagger showed up at the party

Keith Richards was there, too!

Even Willie Nelson made it, what a party it was after that!

The best, though, was when Johnny Cash showed up!

Hennessy's

Deep C has been bringing his djembe drum down to Hennessy's almost every Tuesday night now!

Bilgehan, the Meerkat, he truly is one.

Chris is partying like a Movie Star on the red carpet!

Boston Marathon 2009

Frances and Joe fly out for our second annual Boston Marathon together

First we went to the Expo and picked up our race packets!

Joe's got a better number than me!

Oh, wait, it's actually this guy's, ha ha ha!

Brunch with other fellow runners the day before the Marathon. 2nd from left is Larry Macon, who set a World Record last year for running the most marathons in one year. He did 105, at the age of 63! Go Larry!

Traditional pasta dinner the night before the Marathon!

Yes, I actually woke up in time for the race!

Frances, Joe and Kevin in the lobby of the hotel, ready to run!

Thanks to Anne for giving us all a ride out to Hopkinton. No, no, no, don't wait for us, we'll run back to Boston!

Joe wore the name, Nad, on his shirt. Go Nad!

I wore this photo of my friend Linda on the back of my shirt so I could run in her memory. Joe and Frances both did the same thing. Missed seeing you on Heartbreak Hill, Linda, but I felt your presence, girl!

Riding the bus from the drop off area to the starting line with Joey Waz

Official Runners Only! And I'm official this year!

Waiting in my Coral for the start of the Boston Marathon

Fighter Jets fly over just before the start. Gets me psyched up!

And we're off!

A hill in Hopkinton full of supporters

One Kilometer down, Forty more to go!

My new shoes I bought the day before the race!

My Chicken Bone Cheering Crew! I actually ran inside the Chicken Bone and got a great reception in there! Thanks you guys!

Entering Natick Center

Hey, it's Mark Kindl pumping his fist! I saw lots of people on the course that I knew.

Some of the cheerers were crazy! Coconut crazy!

Running past Wellesley College is awesome because it's an all girls college and they scream like crazy! I high fived them all and yes, I kissed one of the Wellesley girls! Woo Hoooo!

Paused for a photo op with John and John Ottaviani as I entered Newton!

Running past some Newton shops

Running across the bridge that goes over I-95

A girl took my camera and got this shot of me in action

This is her, my personal photographer!

Running up Heartbreak Hill, or as I like to call it, Victory Hill!

Rounding Cleveland Circle, four miles to go!

These kids ran with me for a while down Beacon Street, they were awesome!!!

When you see the Citgo sign you know you're getting close to the finish!

Entering Kenmore Square, one mile to go!!!

This little stretch on Comm Ave takes you under a bridge and away from the crowds for a moment

The very last hill on the course!

Now it's just a right on Hereford Street

Then a left on Boylston Street

Past the Prudential Center

And across the Finish Line, yeaaaaaaah, baaaaabyyyy! BTW, my actual time was 3 hours, 45 minutes and 16 seconds, the reason the clock shows 3:51 is because there were so many runners it took me 7 minutes to cross the starting line!

Victory!!!

All of the runners cover up in mylar jackets to stay warm!

This kind woman presented me with my medal!

Me and my medal!

Sherri Kraft was the first to greet me at the Finish Line! Thanks, Krafty!

Victory Beer! My first beer in over a month, actually!

Beers with the man himself, Michael G! He's the guy that got me into the Boston Marathon last year. This year I got in by running the Bay State Marathon and getting a qualifying time.

All of us runners went out for a steak dinner afterwards!

John, Karen, Michelle and Brian greet me at The Green Dragon Tavern for some more Victory Beers!

Brendan Greally ran the Boston Marathon, too! He finished just a few minutes behind me!

Six Medals for Six Marathoners! Congratulations everybody! Hope we can do it again next year!

Okay, that's all for now!
